CE recommendations for inclusive tennis coaching

What courses or certifications have genuinely helped you deliver accessible, community-rooted coaching — especially around adaptive, wheelchair, and sliding-scale programs? We piloted a Saturday clinic last month with 14 wheelchair and low-vision players and I’ve got budget for two staff CE credits before April, so I’m looking for PTR/USPTA or USTA options that cover accessibility, bilingual outreach, and building local partnerships.

I’d pair PTR’s Wheelchair Tennis workshop with a USTA Adaptive Tennis on‑court clinic — both post CE credits and will get your team “rolling” with progressions for wheelchair and low‑vision players; start by adding tactile baseline markers and high‑contrast target zones to your Saturday setup. Is online-only a requirement before April, or can one be in person? More info here: https://www.usta.com/en/home/organize/program-resources/national/adaptive-tennis.html.

With ‘two staff CE credits before April,’ have your USTA Section’s inclusion coordinator run an on-court All Abilities in-service during your Saturday clinic and log it for USPTA/PTR credit. Then stack PTR’s Adaptive Coaching workshop to hit low-vision progressions; @ethanR00’s wheelchair angle is great, but the in-service gives you live reps with your 14 players. If the Section can’t slot you in time, sub the Net Generation All Abilities online module and book the in-service for May.
