Quick shoulder screen before heavy serving

I’m trialing a 3-minute shoulder screen before heavy serving to keep players on court and out of the clinic. Using a handheld dynamometer for ER/IR at 90° abduction plus a quick scap control check; if ER is under 80% of IR or pain is above 2/10, we cap at 40 serves — what thresholds or tools are you using, and has it reduced AC/biceps flare-ups in your groups?

One tweak that’s helped me: after your 90/90 strength check, I add a 20‑sec ER hold on the dynamometer; if force drops >15% from the first 3 sec to the last 3 sec, we cap at 30 and open with kick/second‑serve pace, because the ratio can look “>80%” but endurance falls off — have you tried an endurance cut‑off like that, @OP?

With your “3-minute” screen, add a 10‑sec Speed’s isometric; >2/10 or >10% asymmetry → 30 cap?

After 90/90 dynamometer, I add 20-rep scap retraction endurance; >10% asymmetry → 30 cap. Any AC change with the ‘80%’?
