This morning I tested 3 g at 12 vs 4 g split at 3/9 on a 305 g, 31.5 cm balance frame; both read SW 330 on the RDC. With 12, Trackman showed about +170 rpm and +1.8 km/h ball speed, while 3/9 reduced off-center torque and tightened launch by about 0.6 deg. For those chasing stability without losing spin, are you seeing the same trade-off at equal SW, or is my 16x19 pattern the culprit?
Similar here on a 305g 16x19; ‘3/9’ plus 1g at 12 matched your 0.6° but kept +150 rpm.
Quick example: on a 305g 16x19 I saw your 12 o’clock gains, but moving to 2 g split at 3/9 plus 0.5 g at 11/1 kept the 0.6° tighter launch and clawed back about 120 rpm — like adding just enough seasoning. @liam_chen77’s “3/9 + 1g at 12” also worked for me, though shifting that gram toward 11/1 felt less tip-heavy and more stable on toe hits. Fast test: stick a “half-gram” under the bumper at 11 before committing and see if your contact height trends high; if so, pure 12 wins.
At SW 330, 10/2 split kept spin; buttcap blu‑tack calmed torsion, @OP — launch stayed within your ‘0.6°’.
